‘Last week saw the launch of Sew Over It’s Stitch School. ’

We’ve been heavily involved in the project from inception, right the way through to delivery of the finished product. By collaborating with the client, we got under the skin of their business to provide a tailored solution to the needs of their 40,000+ existing users.

What is Stitch School?

Stitch School is an online resource and e-learning platform providing users with the techniques, tips and tools to handcraft their own clothes. It’s suitable for beginners and pros alike. Most importantly, it means that video-based learning is available from one central point, with no need for sewers to scour YouTube for the information they need.

The subscription-based service provides access to tutorials and courses in a variety of formats, depending on the level of subscription.

Our initial thoughts on the project:

At the start of the project, we caught up with Richard, our digital project manager, who gave the following insight:

“The key thing with this project is that it’s a facility for learning. The design and the user journey need to be simple to use, so people can find the course they want to do. The aim of any E-commerce site is to generate revenue by making that purchase as simple as possible and removing any potential barriers. The team and I will be focusing heavily on user experience.

It will be great to see how we can take the site to the next level through design.”

The J B Cole Process

We never provide off-the-shelf solutions for our clients. Before we begin any project we run detailed discovery sessions to fully define the brief, as well as the wider business objectives.

Once we have a thorough understanding of all project requirements we can map out the most effective and efficient solution for the client, ensuring we cater to the needs of their customer base, strengthen their consumer touchpoints and enhance the performance of their platform.

Thoughts from Sew Over It:

“JB Cole helped us develop a brand new learning platform to complement our existing e-commerce website. From our first meeting, it was clear that we were on the same page not only about our brief but also about our values as a company. The JB Cole team built us an easy to use, great-looking website that fits in with our brand, as well as delivering the specific outcomes that we needed. They were flexible with our needs and keen to create a product that we were really happy with.”
